Out of 2, 5000 active franchise systems in the U.S. and Canada, Amazing Athletes was one of the 115 businesses that made it on this prestigious list. In 2001, while in search for a suitable preschool for their children, the Henderson family pondered with the idea of introducing a developmental sports program in preschools. After a year of concentrated research, the Amazing Athletes program was launched in 2002. Developed by Chiropractor Dr. Janee Henderson and sports coach husband Glen Henderson, an action packed 50 week curriculum was designed in order to introduce children to the fundamentals of physical fitness, muscle development, fine and gross motor skills and hand eye coordination, with the incorporation of a variety of different ball sports. In 2003, the program was introduced into 11 schools in Orange County Southern California and made an immediate impact. Today the Amazing Athletes program is taught in over 271 preschools throughout southern California and the corporation currently operates 23 franchises located all over the U.S. and continues to grow.
